A tale of Hal Moore and his troops who are about to go off to Vietnam and are about to be dropped in to the Ia Drang Valley. Where one of the most violent battles in U.S. history took place, he will have to strategize and find a way to keep his men alive and win the battle to keep his promise: "I will leave no man behind.....dead or alive. We will all come home together."

This is such a great war movie and certain not the best war to be a part of but certainly a great job of making a look into one man's personal experiences. It truly captures one aspect of the whole war but there is no way to present the types of things that really happened there. The only way to experience the war was to have been there.
