National
Security

Directed
by Dennis Dugan
Written by Jay Scherick and David Ronn
Rated PG-13 for Violence, language, and some sensuality
Cast:
Martin Lawrence as Earl Montgomery
Steve Zahn as Hank Rafferty
Eric Roberts as Nash
Bill Duke as Lt. Washington
Colm Feore as Detective Frank McDuff
Stephen Tobolowsky as Billy Narthax
Earl is an LAPD reject and major
troublemaker who gets L.A. cop Hank fired for false police brutality.
Now security guards, they both find themselves working together trying
to stop a smuggling ring. But if they want to succeed they will have to
stay alive and stay one step ahead of the real cops.
This was a pretty funny movie but was fairly ruined by the fact that
Martin Lawrence's character is a major JERK and the previews they
showed on TV don't show how much of an (insert curse word here) he
really is. Steve Zahn is fantastic in this film and the creepy
moustache is great touch to the character.
