Three very extraordinary children soon come
to learn that a very unfortunate event has occured leaving them as
orphans. Violet, who can create anything out of everything, Klaus, who
loves to read and remembers everything he has read, and Sunny, who
likes to bite things, find themselves forced to live with a gentleman
known as Count Olaf. But Count Olaf has different plans for the
children, not only will they be forced to do everything he beckons them
to do he also plans to steal the fortune that their parents left behind
for them. Soon the children are finally able to convince Mr. Poe that
their lives are in danger and are placed with a "family member". Now
staying with the almost amphibious Uncle Monty, they find themselves
once again being in danger of falling into the hands of Count Olaf who
pretends to be Mr. Stephano who has just signed on to assist Uncle
Monty and is soon to put him out of the picture as well. Now forced to
turn to their last "relative" they are now shipped off to live with
Aunt Josephine where even more unfortunate events take place where they
are once again put back in the care of Count Olaf who's sinister plans
are now reaching dangerous levels. It will take the talent of all three
children to get them away from evil and stop the man who may be behind
something that no person is able to prove.
This is an excellent movie for children and families to watch. I must
warn adults though that this movie isn't made for you. A lot of people
assume that this is some Jim Carrey comedy but this is not made with
adult intentions. Jim Carrey did a fantastic job playing each of the
three characters and the children were fantastic.
